Jackie Barrie: more than just a copywriter
I founded Comms Plus in 2001 after 20 years as a copywriter and marketer in the corporate world, where I led successful creative projects and facilitated high-profile meetings and events. My Open University BA Honours degree included the psychology of how people process words and symbols. I also qualified as an NLP Practitioner (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) through INLPTA, for a deeper understanding of the power of language in written and spoken communications. I originally trained as a journalist.
In addition, I've studied creative writing with Sue Townsend on a Greek island, achieved Advanced Communicator (Bronze) with Toastmasters, and moderated networking groups for BRX and Ecademy. I'm also an Ezine Articles expert author, a co-founder of Bromley Creative Community and was on the original Information Design Association committee.
